    If we look around us, we must see the intense war of cultural issues that is raging in America. It is far deeper than a so-called generation gap. There are young and old on both sides. The future path of America will depend on the outcome of this war. If we are going to be honest, this is a war between Christianity and Secularism.

     Secularists are fighting for a society without God and Judeo/Christian principles in America’s laws and lifestyles. They have tried and succeeded to a great extent to shut the mouths of their opposition by convincing America it is “politically incorrect” to bring up Christian principles when engaging in debates. This is like facing an enemy that hates you with both hands tied behind your back. This is not a new ploy of this enemy though. The force behind this secular move in America is Satan. Like a pied piper, he is leading those following his dark path to the gates of hell itself. He knows that he cannot be defeated without using God’s word. By getting you to relinquish your God given authority in Jesus Christ, he knows the battle is won.

     If you are a Christian, you are not the one in bondage. You have been set free. Use the one weapon you have in this war to destroy your children and your family. Use what our Savior used. Use God’s word.

   The weapons of the Christian are laid out in God’s word and they are the only weapons that will prevail in this war. Satan does not want you brought into remembrance of these weapons because he cannot stand against them.

 Eph 6:11  Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

.Eph 6:14  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

These verses tell us some of the powerful strengths we have in Jesus Christ if we surrender to his Lordship.

    Our stand is truth, our righteousness is Jesus Christ, having Gods word hidden in our heart is our preparedness, and the Gospel is our good news of peace. Our faith is our strength, our message is salvation, and prayer is our power. The Word of God is our sword and can only be wielded effectively by a life filled with the Holy Spirit.

     These are our great defenses against the wiles of the devil and the only weapons we can use to fight sin and ungodliness with.

     It is not through debates and challenges and hate that this nation can be turned back to God. It is only through taking the Gospel to the lost  by Holy Spirit filled Christians that America will be turned from the dark path it is choosing.

     The Bible tells us what we must use to overcome the devil.

Rev 12:11  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

     The blood of Jesus is the most powerful weapon we have. The blood of Jesus can save from sin, wash away reproach, turn the ungodly to godliness, and keep you from the power of the enemy. Your testimony is the second most powerful thing you possess. It is a witness to the power of the blood of Jesus.

   Unfortunately, many Christians are like ancient Israel, the “glory has departed”.

     Ichabod was the name given to Eli the Priest grandson who was born at the moment of Eli’s death and when the Ark of God was taken in battle. It means, “The glory has departed”.

   How many churches in America has Ichabod on their doors? How many Christian lives? How many churches is Jesus Christ knocking on the door wanting in? How many lives?

Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

     The Glory of God departed Israel when they “played church”. The stakes are too high for us to play church. They always have been. If we are going to turn America around and see souls saved and a revival in America, we must live our faith and our faith must be real.

     Easy believism (Just believing Jesus is real) has destroyed the strength of too many churches in America. Every demon Jesus confronted knew exactly who he was and had no doubts as to his authority (Have you come to torment us before our time).

     If you have been playing church and letting your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ slip backward, I exhort you to repent and realize the love that you are loved with. Open God’s word and realize the dangers of sin. Humble yourselves before God and he will lift you up.

1Jo 1:9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

     Maybe you are not really saved and you do not know how to live the Christian life and have never experienced God’s saving grace. On the back are some simple verses that show the way to salvation in Jesus Christ our Lord.

HOW CAN I HAVE ETERNAL LIFE?

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Rom 10:10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Anyone can say “I believe”. The simple question I want to ask you is, Do you believe in the depths of your heart?  Will the faith you have convince you to turn from the path of sin and walk in the ways of God. This is faith that brings repentance. This is faith that convinces you to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in your life. This is faith that is for you personally the substance of what you hope for and the evidence of what cannot be seen. This kind of faith cannot be hid in the heart just like a candle cannot be hid under a basket. This kind of faith cries out unashamedly, I believe that Jesus is the Christ, the only begotten Son of God.

     Will you humble your heart before God in prayer and ask the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart and life? Jesus is anxiously waiting to hear your cry. He will wash you whiter than snow. Call on him now, while he may be found and the Holy Spirit of God is speaking to your heart and soul.

Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
