This newsletter is a place to voice conservative viewpoints. This is not a hate letter although you can see there are some things I hate but they are not people. This letter is intended to voice concerns over the political unrest that seems to be gripping our great nation.
I love America. I love all Americans. I know a lot of Americans are trying to lead America in different directions thinking their path is best for our country. Sometimes some of them may be right. Sometimes they are wrong.
I am an american that happens to be conservative. I don’t call people German-American, French-American, African-American or any other-American. A person is either American or they are not.
Every person in America could put a hyphenated something in front of their name. Even Indians came from somewhere else. I hear all of the arguments that we are separated by race and cultures. There will always be a division as long as people insist on having a hyphen on their name. Are you ashamed of just being American?
I am getting older and I long for my children and yours to know an America free from hate and racism and united as a people. We will never achieve this as long as we have hyphenated Americans.
We need to decide what heritage we want for our children and have this decision burned into us so we don’t feel like every time we go to the polls our heritage is at stake.
I was in Germany once and after seeing the castles and thousand year old walled villages I noticed that their heritage is ingrained in their land. They have been conquered many times in the past and yet their culture, their heritage has not changed. Their land is their culture. No enemy could take this. I Can view the castles of Europe and I stand in awe at engineering genius..
I can read the US Constitution and the Bill Of Rights and weep with pride that the architects of our great nation had the hand of God on their work.
Our nation is young. Our heritage, Our culture is not in the land but in the people. It is “We the people’ that maintain our heritage, not the land. When enemies strike out at America, it is not the land they go after. It is the people.
Our enemies want to destroy the unity that makes America great and unbeatable as a foe. When we are over seas and we meet another american, we feel at home. This is a shared heritage. It is more valuable than land or gold. When an american is killed, we weep together. We do not think of black or white, brown or yellow. We think American.
We need to be bound together with this same bond nationally also. Disagree but never hate. Please put aside the political hate.
That is what this newsletter is about. I personally want to see America maintain conservative values but if we cannot find intelligent ground to disagree on then we may win the war on terror, but we will have lost our heritage.
We need to be so united nationally that even if we lost a war, an enemy would know they could never break us as a people or destroy our national heritage.
This is the heritage of whether we stand or fall, we stand or fall united as a people. The only thing that can take this heritage is division and division comes from within. It was said correctly, “Divided we fall”.
