There is a personal proverb of mine that I keep on the main page; “Even the rich and powerful live in poverty when they live in ignorance”. You see, there is a poverty that is much worse than the poverty of being financially poor. Ignorance leaves a persons very soul in poverty. A person can live in a palace and have vaults of money and be as ignorant as a gnat about the realities of life. Ignorance is not like stupidity. Ignorance can be self imposed. It is the lack of knowledge. The liberal left chooses to live in ignorance when they disassociate themselves from caring about others to the point of sacrificing them to tyranny for political agendas. It is not sacrifice to give money to the poor when you have more money than you can burn. The left is good at that. It is true sacrifice when you give what you cannot afford to give. For the world to be ignorant or to pretend ignorance of the atrocities at Aushwitz and other death camps is to show true ignorance and a lack of care for our fellow human beings that goes beyond the understanding of anyone who calls themselves a compassionate person. You will undoubtedly agree with that.
Why then do so many want to turn their heads because of the mass murders and ethnic cleansing that went on in Iraq. You that believe we should not have deposed Saddam Hussein are cut from the same mold as those that wanted America to continue ignoring the German death camps. As long as you do not have to see it, you do not truly care what happens to anyone. You say it does not affect you. You will support sanctions or useless resolutions but you turn your back when a stand has to be taken to save those you do not know. As long as you are not financially affected by atrocities, you do not care how many innocent people die. As long as your safe in your comfortable home and your loved ones are not called upon to free those under the yoke of tyranny, life is rosy. You will back anything that does not take you out of your comfort zone. As long as your political party gets back into power you would see the world itself crumble under the hands of oppression.
This is the picture the Democrat party is revealing to America and the world. Yes, some European countries that have shifted to socialism agree with them. They were also prospering from the misfortunes the poor souls under the yoke of Saddam Hussein lived under. These European countries that are so quick to condemn President Bush and the other nations of the world for freeing Iraq had their hands so deep in the tyrannical pockets of Saddam Hussein that they were complicit in his crimes.
The treasonous statements of leading Democrats in our nation show they are willing to forsake the nation and decency itself to destroy their political opposition and bring their agenda of socialism on America. They would turn their backs on the Iraqi people and flee like cowards to get out of the war, not caring how many died in the aftermath (Look at Vietnam and the killing fields of Cambodia). They are clearly disassociating themselves from over one half of America to try to hurt the war effort. They do not seem to care how many American troops their lies, twisted truths and political attacks endanger. They do not care that their crimes against America and even the world itself encourage the enemies of America to continue killing because listening to these Democrats makes these terrorist think they are winning. These criminal Senators have forsaken all that could be called holy to join themselves together to fight against President Bush. Why! Is it because President Bush is wrong and America is trying to conquer the world? No! It is because President Bush has risen to the occasion and stood before the world and said that tyranny would not have a place for terrorist to plan and organize. It is because he stood in a place where few find themselves. He stood against the easy path of acceptance and declared that the “Dire consequences” of breaking the UN resolutions held more than water and empty threats. He has shown himself to be a man unequaled in honor and leadership in our generation. His opponents at the UN have been found to be steeped in the corruption that was Saddam Hussein. They were lending themselves to his tyranny by being a place to plant lies upon the world while they filled their pockets with the fruit of his hunger and maniacal drive to maintain power.
I for one believe to this day that even weapons of mass destruction were in Iraq and still may be. I believe that some of them were shipped to countries that would be just as apt to use them as Saddam Hussein was. He used them indiscriminately against his own people and Iran. Are you so ignorant that you would honestly believe that once he had them that he would forsake them? This is a man that was not elected. He held his power by fear and murder. He was unconcerned how many were raped, tortured and killed to keep him in power.
Just like the left was against getting involved in World War I and II, they are against this war also. They are against any conflict that does not strengthen their power. They were despicable during World Wars I and II and they are despicable now. Now are the days of remembering the atrocities of Aushwitz. I wonder how many on the left are remembering. I hear cries from the left that America’s friendliness to Israel is a large part of our problem with the world. If that is true, the world is as wrong as the political left is. God’s word tells us that God will bless them that bless Israel and curse them that curse Israel (Gen 12:3 (When God was talking to Abraham)). Even in our generation we have seen the truth of this statement. Look at the nomadic and wandering life of the peoples who stand as Israel’s enemies. Look at Germany when they tried to institute the final solution. Every nation that has blamed Israel for their ills has found themselves in ignorance, poverty and despair. The Palestinians live in poverty and ignorance because they insist on living in hatred rather than accepting Israel as a people to live with and around and build a future with. There is no peace in any of the Arabic nations (Isa 48:22 There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.) These people maintain power by fear and oppression. Their religion is one of hatred and oppression. Their values are those of hatred and oppression.
We as Americans must never forget the lies, twisted truths and special agenda’s of the Democrat party. They would lead us down a road from which there may be no return. Some of them will try to make themselves look like moderates as the 2006 and 2008 elections come up but if you set your mind to never forget the deeds of the past, you will not be fooled.
