 SUPREME COURT DECISION The ruling that the Supreme Court came out with does not surprise me. They have no problem with something being used in a secular atheistic manner. They turn the world upside down to prevent anything that brings glory to God from being displayed.
This is because there is a culture war raging in America. Anyone who has not realized this fact has been living for years with their head in the sand. See my article “Culture War” and “War Against Christianity”. You may say that you do not want to get involved in this culture war but you are involved and by your silence, you are giving support to those who’s desire it is to see America turn into a secular nation without God, Christianity or morality.
The president of American atheist said that our law was built on British common law and not Judeo/Christian concepts. She is wrong as usual. These atheist love to spin lies because they follow the father of all liars. ALL of America’s first law schools were Christian universities. These atheist must have revised (They are revisionist) the part of history where we cast off British rule with its unjust rulings and one sided justice.
The Ten Commandments are holy and unarguably just and people who embrace this law given by God become a law unto themselves, but there is something that people need to understand about them.
First, the Ten Commandments reflect a system of justice, not mercy. God gave the Ten Commandments to Moses on Mt. Sinai as a guide to the children of Israel when God brought them out of Egypt. They were rules God would live by if he were a man.
They are the natural result of perfect love. They were meant to teach Israel two things. First, they taught (Or should I say reflect) the result of perfect love. What I mean by this is that walking in the perfect love of God would result naturally in perfect obedience to Gods law. It would be a reflection or a natural occurrence rather than an obedience. This is impossible for fallen man.
Second, they reveal that Israel lacked the ability to walk the righteousness (Perfect love) that God demanded (The law was a schoolmaster) and that they needed something they did not possess to be able to live and walk in the love (Law) of God.
The peculiar thing about the law was that once it was broken, it was broken (There was no provision for mercy). The law was not something that restored your virtue when you got up the next morning. The law demanded sacrifice sufficient to take the violation (sin) away (Justice).
The law was not even given to us. We are what the Bible refers to as “Gentiles”. The law was given to Israel. We were without the law and without hope. That is where the good news of the gospel comes in. We now have the opportunity to be grafted (Born again) into Gods family by the blood of Jesus Christ who took our place in judgment for sin ( He became sin for us on the cross and his righteousness can now be transferred to us) if we will believe and unashamedly accept his gift.
The courts may usurp authority over stone tablets but when a person becomes a Christian, God’s law is written on the tables of the heart (After all, sin is a heart condition). It is the law of perfect love in Christ Jesus.
History has proven that the more that libertines attack Christianity the stronger Christians get. This has been true from the murderous arena’s of Rome to the martyrs in Islamic lands of today and even in America. If you are a Christian, you should not fear when you see these acts of hatred against God and his people. On the contrary, rejoice because you are living in such a time as this, a time when you may have to suffer for Christ.
Pray that you may be as faithful in suffering for Christ as you have been in times of peace in living for him. It will not get better before the Lord comes back. We live in a world that hates Jesus Christ and hates his followers.
We live in a world where there is a very large church that has the outward appearance of godliness but inside they deny the Son Of God and discount God’s word as fables. They have an appearance of godliness only. They use the outer entrapments of Christianity but inwardly they are ravening wolves, hungering after the world and the things the world and the flesh offers.
We truly live in perilous times. The apostle Paul tells us to not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try us. I have always preached and I believe that the apostasy when Jesus calls the church out may be so great that the world in general may not even be aware of the Rapture of the church until the man of sin (antichrist) is revealed.
Our greatest responsibility in this life is to snatch as many from the flames as we can. Preach the word, Be instant to share the Gospel when people embrace it and when they don’t. Be ready at all times in this perilous time to give an answer to anyone who ask concerning the hope that lies within you.
Jesus left us one commandment and that is to love one another as he loved us. Love one another with zeal and a self sacrificing love. Not just friends and family but the stranger (Yes, even our enemies). Pray for each other and pray for our enemies both here and overseas. Christ in you, our hope of glory is the only hope these God deniers and atheist have and you may be the only light they see.
This is why it is so needful to reflect Jesus Christ in our actions, and what we say, having God’s word hidden in the heart where no court has any jurisdiction. God did not choose for stone to preach his word. God chose that by the testimony of his children and the love of God that compelled them to go that people would be saved.
