You have heard me talk about Democrats that are socialist. I do not say that lightly and I know it turns a lot of people off. I believe that most people do not even understand what I am talking about. I thought I would put together a few questions to let people see just where they stand in a plain worded way. I believe you will find that you are either a capitalist or a socialist or maybe a collectivist whch is just another word for a socialist. You may believe in Fabianism which is just a socialist who believes in bringing in socialism by reforms within the law (Bringing in socialism by peaceful means).
1. Do you believe that the government should bail you out financially if you are failing in business?
America is unique in that a person has the freedom to pursue individual dreams. These dreams may be fueled by things such as living plain and simple. They may be fueled by a drive to pursue wealth and material growth. You can work for someone else or build a fortune 500 company. You may fail or you may succeed. It is not the governments responsibility to oversee your dreams or your mistakes. It is not the governments responsibility to hold you up or bail you out. It is not the governments dream. It is yours. If you fail, try again. we are a nation of capitalist. There may be times because of the size a company reaches and the number of jobs it provides in a community that the government may be asked to help see it through hard times. When this time comes, those in charge should be held to strick guidelines and if there is criminal intent on their part, they should be brought to strict account for their irresponsible actions. These companies should have to repay the goodness of the American people, after all, it is not the government that helped them but “We the people”.
2. Do you believe that the government knows what is best for you?
We seem to be living in a time of government guidelines in every aspect of our lives. It seemed to start with motorcycle helmets. Then it went to seatbelts. There are restrictions on the way we live. I cannot even remodel my home or build a porch without getting government permission. I don’t smoke but if I did, I would resent the government controlling my actions. It is now against the law to have an ashtray in bars in NYC. All of these things can be controlled with insurance incentives for those who wish to submit to them. The framers of the Constitution never meant for peoples lives to be hobbled by frivolous restrictions and laws to restrict their individual actions and lives.
3. Do you believe that higher taxes are the answer to America’s fiscal problems.
At one time America was supported by taxes from companies and businesses that wanted to benefit from the riches of America. Individual taxes were a thing almost unheard of. Individual taxes was inacted during the Civil War to help pay for the War but after the war the Supreme Court determined that they were unconstitutional and they were stopped. They were started again to help pay for the war during WW II and it was only supposed to last for the duration of the war but was never stopped. Businesses used lobbyist and by crooked means got loopholes where the tax burden came off of them. The backs of the working class have been burdened illegally to the point of breaking for years now while those fed by corporate greed have been living like kings.
4. Do you believe that government programs of welfare and personal support will cure America’s social issues?
America’s social issues will never be cured with a never ending supply of money to those in need. I am a great believer in the local church and community meeting the needs of those financially destitute. When a national welfare system is needed, there must be requirements that get these people to stand on their own. We have to stop being a welfare state simply because some people are lazy and see it as a means to get free money. The more kids they can have, the more money they can get. That is real incentive to improve your life isn’t it? Some use welfare for what it was meant to be, a help to allow them breathing room to get themselves together after a dismal failure in life. It was never meant to be a means of lifelong support for anyone but it has been abused to the point that it has became a gigantic wormhole which does not benefit those who are using it. Its very nature makes it self propagating.
5. Do you believe that America was established on Christian principles and Mosaic law?
There is no denying that America was established on Christian principles. See my article “What Is Truth”. The Supreme Court in 1893 ruled that America is a Christian nation. To quote the Bill Of Rights; Article III, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances”. Christianity or any other religion cannot be set up by law as a state religion. We are totally free to excercise our religous convictions freely. We are at war though in America with those who live and breathe to destroy Christianity in America. They have no qualms with other religions. They hate the moral restraints Christian principles place on people and because of their own corruption and hatred they live to see Christianity destroyed.
6. Do you believe that a strong military is the best means of keeping our freedoms?
There are those who say we do not need to have a strong military. They are even fighting against a strong homeland defense. They want us to give up our sovereignty and join the so called world community. I remember hearing Dennis Kucinich saying he would turn the Constitution over to the UN. This is the thinking of a lot of Democrats. Kerry wanted to go back to the corrupt and mostly socialist UN begging for them to forgive us. This is a treasonous and a horrendous breach of American sovereignty.
7. Do you believe that America is a sovereign nation and not answerable to any power on earth (The UN)? We do not need anyones permission to defend ourselves or strike out at those who would destroy us!
How in the world anyone could possibly think we are not sovereign is beyond me. We have led the world in freedom since our inception. We have sacrificed uncountable American lives to deliver the oppressed from the hand of tyranny. There is hardly a nation on earth (I know of none) that has not benefitted from our graciousness. War debts have been forgiven. We bore the expense of reconstruction after these nations had been delivered from horrendous oppressors. We put american troops and weapons in these nations to protect them and keep them free. When we have been callously and cowardly attacked and our innocent citizens murdered by those who would oppress us or because of their deep seated hatred for whatever imagined reason, we have the inerrant right and obligation to defend ourselves and make sure those responsible are brought to justice or their capability to attack us is eliminated.
8. Do you believe our borders should be protected and defended by our military against all enemies?
I believe in immigration! There is a correct way for people to immigrate to America and there is a wrong way. The right way may not be perfect but then, the world is not perfect is it? Beginning your life in America as a law breaker and a criminal is definately the wrong way to immigrate. This is not immigration! That is invasion! One of the main purposes of our military is to defend our borders. We have been lax in defending our borders but when a mistake on our part has been recognized, it should be corrected. Some people for evidently unscrupulous reasons, want to open our borders even more. There is even a movement in several of our western states to give these states to Mexico. We have been living for years like the Ostrich who puts its head in the sand when the lion approaches. This false security will cost us dearly. We cannot change to please everyone else in the world, especially when the world is turning more socialist every day. We must protect our way of life for us and future generations of Americans.
9. Do you believe in the individual right to keep and bear arms and in the inherit right to self defense?
There are groups who would take guns out of the hands of the people. These people would probably surrender to an enemy rather than fight also. One of the statements Hitler made in 1938 was almost what Clinton uttered when he was President. Hitler said that to make the streets safer for the citizens and the children, guns had to be taken out of the hands of the citizens. Then when the people could not defend themselves, he took over as dictator. The UN wants to make a world registration for guns. President Bush told the UN that this would not happen in America. Kerry wants to coddle the socialist governments of the UN and I guarantee you that he would approve of such a move. We must not give up one inch of our sovereignty to these extreme left wing socialist who are salivating for the chance to get in the White House.
I am a Republican. I believe in a republican form of government. I am a conservative. I believe this headlong rush in the Democrat Party towards socialism by embracing with a seemingly overpowering hunger the philosophy of the left wing political structure in America will be our undoing as a free society unless it is stopped.
