Is anyone surprised at the courts ruling on Terri Shiavo? I find it devastating for our nation but not a surprise. Do you seriously think that the courts care if her parents spend their lives taking care of her? Of course they don’t care. It’s no skin off of their back whether she lives or dies. I believe that it should not matter what your beliefs of euthanasia are, if you read this I do not see how you can come to any other conclusion but to say that Terri Shiavo has not been treated with an honest judgment from the courts. She deserves better as does any human being in the same situation.
There is a much more serious matter at stake though that these courts do care immensely about. We have three branches of Government in America. We have the executive branch of which the President is the head on the federal level and the Governor on the State level. It is their sworn duty to protect the Constitution, either of the Nation or the State they govern. The next branch of government is the legislative. This is the two houses of Congress on the federal and the Legislature on the State level. It is their sworn duty of both to represent their constituents and to make all law and levy taxes. The third branch of government is the courts. This branch has only one function. This is to interpret law that the legislative branch has passed and administer that law based on the Constitution of America and the state constitution where they reside.
It is strictly an interpretive branch of government. If they come across something that is outside of their interpretative powers, they are not to make laws or judgments regarding this. That would be outside of their jurisdiction according to the US Constitution. They do not even have power to make recommendations. They have to send the issue to the legislative branch of government because it is only the legislative branch that can make law. They would then act on what the representatives of “We The People” established as law regarding that issue.
For years now, our court system has been treading the waters of establishing law and getting away with it. This is both illegal and unconstitutional. The court cannot establish when life begins or ends. Those bounds are beyond their jurisdiction. What we see taking place in America right now is the usurping of authority over the legislative branch of government by the courts which is clearly an authority that they do not possess legally. You may wonder why they would do this. For years now the courts have been fighting for more power. America is a very large nation and power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
The liberal left in America has been unable to get control of America in the legislative branch of government and so they began years ago filling both the courts and the educational system with others of like political persuasion for the very purpose of getting control in America and undermining and destroying the Constitution which they see as archaic and outdated. In the case of Terri Shiavo the courts actions are a power play, plain and simple. The court system has thumbed the nose at both the President and the Governor as the executive branch of government and at Congress and the state legislature as the legislative branch of government.
The court ordered the death of this woman on shaky advice and evidence. It did this without the evidence of an MRI scan. No one knows what her brain activity is because it has not been measured. It did this on the testimony of a man who believes in letting incapacitated people die. It did this on the desires of a man who is shacked up with another woman and has even had two of his children. He has lived with her for ten years. If I am not mistaken, that makes him a bigamist because he is still married. The action of the court is akin to the blood letting of centuries past or like the witch hunts of the dark ages. They are like the inquisitors who will not have their will questioned. I believe a lot of this goes back to the year 2000 when the Florida courts were so angry because they could not keep President Bush out of office.
This is extremely dangerous for us as a free people. It takes a massive amount of energy in both national public persuasion and legislative persuasion to bring about amendments to the Constitution. It takes years and is very seldom successful. This is the way our founding fathers meant it to be and it very good that it is this hard.
The court system has discovered that they have been able to do this with a swipe of the pen and a gavel. It has gone unchallenged to the point that they feel unstoppable in their corrupt bid for power over the people of America. They have been exercising power they do not have for years and they feel it is theirs by right of usage.
They see the best chance they have had since America was established to seize power over the nation in a judicial takeover. If this succeeds, there will be no stopping these activist judges from taking more and more power from the legislative branch. We are truly living in a day of judicial tyranny in America. They must be stopped before it is too late for our children and their children.
